Computer Depot Inc. has been serving its’ neighbors in East Tennessee Since 1996. The owner, Thomas Hill, started the repair company while attending East Tennessee State University, pursuing his degree in Electronic Engineering Technology.
After Thomas received his Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering he took a job with an electronics production plant and worked there for months, all the while continuing to sell computer systems during his off hours.
As time went on, Thomas realized the need for low cost high powered computer systems and providing a place to maintain them. He decided to take his business full time.
Computer Depot Inc. now operates in Knox and Sevier County. All locations built on the same principle: the customer is our #1 priority. We train our staff to be great technicians, but we pride ourselves on hiring people with great customer service skills.

After graduating East Tennessee State University with a Bachelors of Science degree in electrical engineering technology, Thomas Hill turned his side gig into a real business. Thomas started Computer Depot over 20 years ago with an entrepreneurial spirit and a willingness to do what it takes to build trust and loyalty one customer at a time. Computer Depot Business Solutions now serves over 500 small business owners in the Knox and Sevier county area. As a regular contributor for several local publications and the star of “Tech Talk with Thomas Hill” on News Talk 98.7, he is a sought after speaker for a wide range of technology topics. Thomas currently lives in Seymour, TN with his wife and two daughters, enjoys camping, hiking and spending time in his backyard, “The Great Smoky Mountains.”

Wes Bruce is the Director of Technology at Computer Depot and has been with us since 2012. His specialty is in network security but enjoys working in all areas of IT. He is always working to add more certifications and currently has the A+, Network + and Security + certifications as well as certifications in web design and 2 bachelor’s degrees. He is married and has 2 awesome kids. His hobbies are spending time with his family and watching or participating in just about any sport, but his favorite is football. Above all he is a child of God, saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ and wants to share that good news with others.

Larry Hendren is happily married and lives in the North Knoxville area with his two children. Larry’s wife is a registered nurse at UT. His daughter is attending Pellissippi State Community College. His son is attends middle school in Powell. In Larry’s free time, he enjoys casual video games and also the occasional air-soft game. Larry currently holds the A+ certification, Network+ certification, Microsoft : Configuring Windows Devices Certification, and Microsoft Certified Professional.
Technician - 2020
William is currently enrolled in college and also studying for his A+ certification. In his spare time he likes to play DOD, watch all kinds of documentaries, and listen to podcasts.
Technician - 2021
Alex is certified in A+ and Network+. He is currently attending college for his Bachelors of Science in Computer Technology. He is also studying for his Security+ certification. Alex lives in Seymour and will be the primary technician in our Seymour location. In his spare time Alex enjoys video games and studying Cyber Security.
Tech/Customer Service - 2018
Shrinath is currently a student at Pellissippi with the goal of transferring to UT to finish his Computer Science degree. Shrinath has always had an interest in IT but never had the opportunity to pursue it until recently. He is also a gamer which was one of the root causes for his interest in IT. When he isn’t gaming or spending time with friends, he helps foster dogs and volunteers at Young Williams Animal Shelter whenever the chance arises. Shrinath is currently studying to get his A+ certification and by the end of 2019 will have his Network+.
Technician - 2018
Thomas Wassenaar is a computer technician at Computer Depot. Tom gained interest in working in IT after working on family & friend's computers at a young age. He started his professional career working for a large electronics recycling operation in Michigan as a refurbishing technician. In his spare time he enjoys working in 3D game engines & being outdoors (when he's not glued to a computer). Tom is trying to live a minimalist lifestyle with his wife & daughter in a tiny home.
Network Security Engineer
Brandon thrives on puzzles, and enjoys solving difficult problems. He has over 10 years experience in the IT managed services field, and is CompTIA certified in A+, Network+, and Security+. His family and church are his top priorities. He is an avid gamer, both video and tabletop, and is also happily married to an avid gamer.

"Amazing service! My laptop went to black screen, they ran diagnostic and checked all hard drives and such and turned out it was OK. Even though they spent time checking everything out they didn’t charge me a dime because all was good (apparently it had lost internet connection during an update so just needed to sit on overnight to come back to life). If I had gone to Best Buy and used Geek Squad it would have cost me $85 for same diagnostic! I’ll only be using these guys in future and HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!"
